Associate Professor, EBIO.
Plant evolutionary ecology
I study the evolutionary ecology of plant systems. I will be the new lead PI for the Niwot Ridge LTER project and I am excited to connect the FIRED UP students with opportunities to see how long-term ecological research works.
Associate Professor and Graduate Chair, EBIO.
Wildlife disease and conservation biology.
I love observing wild animals in the field and thinking about the diversity of parasites and microbes they harbor. Field experiences made me want to become a biologist. I have an 11 year old daughter who also loves animals and sharing that passion with her is so inspiring.
Assistant Professor, EBIO.
Community Ecology, Landscape Ecology, Entomology
I study the dynamics of biodiversity in time and space and how they are affected by human impacts. Exploring the natural world recharges and inspires me.
Assistant Professor and Mountain Research Station Director, EBIO
Avian speciation, hybridization, and natural history.
I’m a natural historian at heart and love spending time in nature. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am also devoted to facilitating diversity and inclusion initiatives at CU Boulder.
